A New Study Says 'Food as Medicine' Programs Could Save the US More Than $32 Billion a Year and Reduce Hospital Visits

Researchers from Tufts University published a new analysis showing that the United States could save over $32.1 billion in health care costs by using medically tailored meals. Forty-nine states would save health care costs per patient by using medically tailored meals, and people in all 50 states would reap health benefits.
