How To ‘Make It’ As A Production Designer, With Advice From An Industry Expert

Few industries seem as alluring as working in the entertainment business. And with the right mentors, that dream of becoming a director, screenwriter, or producer could become a reality.
Australian Film Television And Radio School (AFTRS) has been training up the next generation of industry creatives since 1973, with several successful alumni who’ve gone on to become award-winning professionals.
The Masters of Arts Screen program covers nine core disciplines, including the art of bringing worlds to life, otherwise known as Production Design.
Below, AFTRS Production Design student Rikkili Clark interviews production designer and AFTRS lecturer Virginia Mesiti to find out more about what it takes to ‘make it’ in the industry!
