Over the years, MSR has continually improved the straps on their lineup of snowshoes. The deigns have progressed from stretchy straps, to ratchet style HyperLink Bindings, to the newest generation of pliable mesh (so far, my favourite as noted in my review for the Lightning Ascent snowshoes).
This year MSR has upgraded the bindings on the entire lineup of Explore snowshoes (designed for intermediate to advanced-level snowshoers exploring intermediate to technical, variable terrain.) which includes the Lightning, Revo and Evo to the new Paradigm bindings.
MSR’s Explore snowshoes are designed for hiking on and off trails while providing comfort and ease of use on extended trips. Three adjustment points and toe stop make getting a perfect, custom fit simple, even with gloves on. The stretch mesh and two front buckles provide a secure grip on steeper slopes and while side-hilling.
