Rumpl Debuts Their First Sleeping Bag

Performance blanket maker Rumpl has debuted their very first sleeping bag called The Wrap Sack. This synthetic bag has a proprietary feature called WrapAdapt which is a layering system that gives sleepers a new way to customize warmth, padding, and warmth; ensuring they’re fully rested and energized to take on the next day’s adventure.

Keeping up with individual preferences or exterior temperature swings, the WrapAdapt™ layering system provides 2 ways to wrap Rumpl’s combination of insulated layers. When sleeping hot, users are able to unzip and de-layer two panels to cool down. In colder temps, sleepers can snap together Rumpl’s proprietary Cape Clips® connections and fully zip the Wrap Sack like a traditional sleeping bag for maximum warmth. For those who layer up in colder conditions or simply prefer a sleeping bag that doesn’t feel too snug, the Wrap Sack’s roomy design provides plenty of space to move. With an extra-wide design and a fit that accommodates sleepers up to 6’2”, it offers performance comfort without the restrictive constraint of a traditional mummy bag. Whether you’re sleeping under the stars in peak summer heat or touring overland during the shoulder seasons, the Wrap Sack’s dual-layered design comfortably covers three seasons of slumber.

Ironically, we started Rumpl as an alternative to sleeping bags. Ten years ago, we looked at a sleeping bag and wondered—why isn’t this a blanket? Blankets offer versatility, adaptability and a more flexible range of comfort compared to being zipped into a sack. That idea catapulted us to build a better alternative. So we set out to create a sleeping bag with ‘Goldilocks performance’ – not too much and not too little, a sleeping bag that is just right for recreational campers.

— Wylie Robinson, Rumpl’s Founder

The Wrap Sack features an integrated pillow pocket hood construction specifically sized for the Rumpl Camp Pillow, ensuring headrests won’t shift throughout the night. The sleeping bag uses a combination of Rumpl’s proprietary 100% post-consumer recycled synthetic insulation – RenewaLoft™ for the outer layer and NanoLoft™ for the inner layer and liner – to mimic the performance of down, keeping sleepers warm even when moisture might build up on the exterior from condensation or light precipitation. Each Wrap Sack Sleeping Bag 20 uses 155 recycled plastic bottles in its construction. And thanks to a PFAS-free DWR coating on the sleeping bag’s exterior, users can confidently cowboy camp in the dirt knowing their Wrap Sack is protected from tears and stains. Plus, when it’s time to pack up and head home, a roll-top stuff sack and mesh storage bag make it easy to stow.
