Yusheng (or yee sang) is a raw fish salad served in Malaysia and Singapore as a communal ceremonial dish for Lunar New Year. The elements of this yusheng recipe are fairly traditional: raw salmon, pomelo, thin strips of vegetables like carrot and radish, peanuts and sesame seeds, and a plum sauce dressing.
