Swedish Footwear Company Icebug Launches Canadian Online Store

Swedish footwear company Icebug (founded in 2001 on the idea of making better shoes for people who want to get outdoors every day) makes grippy winter footwear and has now launched a presence in Canada with their new website Icebug.ca.

We are excited to expand our presence as a brand in Canada and to bring our vision for functional, durable, responsibly-made footwear to more people there. Thanks to our incredible traction technologies, we’ve changed the way people in Scandinavia feel about winter, and we look forward to doing the same in Canada.

— Sebastian Lundfall, Icebug’s Head of Communication

Their innovative BUGrip technology provides superior traction on ice thanks to dynamic steel studs, and their proprietary rubber compounds retain grip in spite of wet and cold conditions.

Canada is a country where winter means adventure. Icebug’s mission is to help people embrace the outdoors year-round, and we’re excited to bring this experience to Canada.

— Tom Nilsson, Icebug’s CEO

Head over to their new site to see both studded and non-studded styles, including winter boots; walking, hiking, and running shoes.
