How to Dress For a Music Festival

If you think music festivals are all about running around in the desert with denim cutoffs and waving around a peace sign— think again! This season, there is a strong 70’s influence with breezy blouses, romantic flowy skirts and fringe details that is making us sing a new tune.

It’s time to give your cutoffs a rest for now. Everyone from Saint Laurent to Gucci and Dior have something new to add to the festival-bound ladies: Stretched printed chiffon and “stolen from my boyfriend’s band” jackets, lacy baby-doll dresses, relaxed-fit print trousers and long flowing vests that practically guarantee you will stand out. For the lady on a budget, try Free People’s Maxi Vest and for those with a little more edge – try layering Free People’s Crystal Harness Vest over a casual t-shirt. For something a little more flowy—  try the Eleanor Printed Mini Dress or the Desert Rose Print Maxi skirt also from Free People.

Whether you are currently on your way to SXSW or ready to head to the desert for Coachella – or just planning a relaxing weekend getaway, it’s time to refresh!
