New data shows more people admitting they skip scanning an item or two at self-checkout as grocery prices continue to climb. LendingTree’s survey found that 27% now purposely take something, nearly twice the rate from two years ago. And taken together, those numbers show how strained budgets are steering shoppers toward different choices at the register.
