A study found that 71% of baby and toddler foods sold at U.S. grocery chains are ultra-processed. Researchers at The George Institute for Global Health also found that many of these products contain more sugar and sodium, along with over 100 additives — particularly snack packs and pouches. Experts warn that introducing ultra-processed foods so early may shape children’s long-term health.
