Repairs Continue On The Berg Lake Trail

B.C. ParksBerg Lake Trail has been under repair since 2021 after it was seriously damaged by extreme weather. Some areas such as the Whitehorn Campground have reopened, but trail work has been ongoing.

Phase one of the project involved extensive work on the first seven kilometres of the trail, from the trailhead to Kinney Lake. Kinney Lake Campground reopened in 2023.

Phase two reconnected the Kinney Lake and Whitehorn Campgrounds and included a new trail route, and new bridges at the far end of Kinney Lake and over the Robson River.

As of now (January, 2025), further details about reservations for backcountry camping along the 23-kilometre Berg Lake Trail will also be announced at a later date as work continues to repair and open the last phase of the popular trail. Another significant storm in September 2024 damaged a section of the newly rebuilt trail.
