On Trend: Animal Prints

Animal prints are a huge trend right now for Spring/Summer 2015. It’s a fun and simple way to make a bold statement!

Leopard and snakeskin are your usual basics when looking for a print, but 2015 takes a spin with unusual and modern interpretations. For instance, Burberry’s outerwear garments comes in bright orange shades and strange black and white combos.

We are also seeing a huge comeback in leopard prints. Unlike New York and Los Angeles where leopard is favored for its alternative rock/punk vibe, in Paris, leopard is favored for its established chic flair. Countless elegant interiors sport a touch of leopard, something popularized way before the French Revolution and even favored by Napoléon himself as a key-note for his Empire style.

If you were thinking about adding a feline-like glamour into your wardrobe, now is the time. You can start with a garment or an accessory, decide to go less expensive or opt for a well-made investment piece, go new or vintage. Leopard everything is up for grab from silk prints to stenciled furs. This is one trend that is here to stay for a while. Brands like Nordstrom,Macy’s and Saks are big fans of this trend!
